APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • JMCobol stops running and crashes in JMSemantics.dll

Local fix

  • try catch added in JMSemantics.dll

Problem summary

  • The defect was triggered by an exception in JMSemantic module.
The fix consists in guarding the code that generated the
exception with a try/catch block. The compiler will show an
error and it will no longer crash.

Problem conclusion

  • The fix will be available in
5.1.0.0 version.
