Error description

  • Scanning an ASP.NET application results in the following
precompilation error:
"error ASPCONFIG: Unrecognized attribute 'targetFramework'."

Expected Result:
Precompilation is successful and the application is scanned
successfully.

Actual Result:
Precompilation fails and the scan is unsuccessful.

* When scanning an ASP.net project contains either C# or       *
* VB.net code AppScan Source tool fails to identify the .Net   *
* framework version correctly thus resulting this error.       *

Problem conclusion


    

  • The issue has been fixed in the code and will be included in the
next release of AppScan Source.
