Error description

  • Abend0c4 in ISTSLU7F at x'6d6'
    This was caused by a bad RUPE Pointer that came from ISTSLSYR.
    SITCB RUPE_POINTER is zeros. This caused R6 to be an invalid
    address, which caused the abend0C4
    attempting to Load halfword from the invalid address in R6.
    SAVE AREA CHAIN (STARTING WITH SAVE AREA AT 134391A0):
    SLCRT -> SLRDP -> SLUFR -> SLUAS -> SLSYR -> SLUIF -> SLU7F
    CURRENT SAVE AREA = SLU7F

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    This problem was caused by ISTSLSYR issuing a FFST probe
    without a RUPE pointer. During searching for a cross subnet
    DLUR, SSL created a child SITCB to search for the DLUR TGVs.
    When the search completed, ISTSLUAS transferred the DLU
    information from the child SITCB to the parent SITCB and
    drove the parent SITCB FSM. But the pointer to the
    current RUPE was not transferred. During the processing
    of the parent SITCB, a FFST probe was attempted without the
    RUPE pointer and the ABEND occurred.

Problem conclusion

  • This problem was fixed in ISTSLUAS by transferring the RUPE
    pointer to the parent before driving the parent SITCB.
