APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS on panel ADB26DT the input is
  not recognized when overwriting a previous value (like 'NO')
  with just the first letter of the desired command
  (in case of 'Y' for 'YES' leaving 'YO') in the YES/NO prompt.
   This works on other panels, like ADB2RT.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When dropping a table using panel       *
  *                      ADB26DT and specifying 'NO' for the     *
  *                      field 'Report Drop Impacts', and        *
  *                      pressing the Enter key on the next      *
  *                      panel, then pressing the F3 key to      *
  *                      return to panel ADB26DT without         *
  *                      any change, and entering a 'Y' over     *
  *                      the 'NO' on the 'Report Drop Impacts'   *
  *                      field, an invalid value of 'YO' is      *
  *                      generated for the field.                *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  When dropping a table using panel ADB26DT and specifying 'NO'
  for the field 'Report Drop Impacts', and pressing the Enter
  key on the next panel, then pressing the F3 key to return to
  panel ADB26DT without any change, and entering a 'Y' over the
  'NO' on the 'Report Drop Impacts' field, an invalid value of
  'YO' is generated for the field.
  

Problem conclusion

• Problem has been resolved.
  
  DB2 Admin allows the user to only enter the first character
  (Y/N) in a YES/NO field, and the value will be converted to
  the correct value automatically.
