Error description
When a UOW uses two DOVF CIs just after reloading an area by FPA RELOAD, the "RBA of current overflow CI" pointer of the first DOVF CI is null (X'00000000'). Due to this, the remaining empty DOVF CIs in the UOW are not used and the succeeding overflowed segments in the UOW will be stored into IOVF CIs. This problem occurs only in UOWs that use two DOVF CIs just after reloading an area. Therefore, this problem does not occur in UOWs that use no DOVF CI, one DOVF CI, and more than two DOVF CIs just after reloading an area. The FPA Analyze function and FPO Online Pointer Checker utility did not check the integrity of "RBA of current overflow CI" pointer of the DOVF CI. The Online Expert Reorganization (OER) utility or the High-Speed DEDB Direct Reorganization Utility (HSReorg) correctly sets the "RBA of current overflow CI" pointer of the first DOVF CI. To resolve this problem before applying the PTF, perform a reorganization with the OER utility or HSReorg utility for the area. No additional operation is needed after applying the PTF.
Local fix
If the incorrect DOVF CI pointers are found by one of the following methods, you can run the Online Expert Reorganization utility or the High-Speed DEDB Direct Reorganization Utility for the UOWs to fix the DOVF CI pointers. - After reloading the areas, run the FPA ANALYZE function or Online Pointer Checker utility. The incorrect DOVF CIs exist in some UOWs if the UOW report shows there are UOWs that use IOVF CIs even though one or more DOVF CIs are not used. - Run the FPA ANALYZE function with the RDOVFFS parameter or the FPO Online Pointer Checker function with the EXC_RDOVFFS parameter. The incorrect DOVF CIs might exist in some UOWs if the UOWs use IOVF CIs even though the DOVF free space is considerably large and the UOWs are included in the UOW Exception report.

Problem conclusion
The FPA Reload function has been modified to set correct "RBA of current overflow CI" pointer of the first DOVF CI. The FPA Analyze function and FPO Online Pointer Checker utility have been modified to check the integrity of "RBA of current overflow CI" pointer of the DOVF CI.
