Troubleshooting
Problem
When trying to save configuration in Cognos Configuration an error occurs about not being able to encrypt some information. In Cognos 10, the users is asked if they want to save in clear text instead.
Symptom
Cognos 8:
The cryptographic information cannot be encrypted. Do you want to save the configuration in plain text?
- After choosing Yes, the following message is displayed:
- [Cryptography]
1. CAM-CRP-1054 No configuration was loaded.
After choosing No, the following message is displayed:
- [Cryptography]
1. java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
CAM-CRP-1085 An error occurred while verifying that the security provider classes were loaded.
Reason: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.sun.crypto.provider.SunJCE
CAM-CRP-1054 No configuration was loaded
