PI19070: NAT9974 NATURAL TERMINATION FORCED ABEND IUZ8

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If CICS IA is not installed (CICS has no CICS IA libraries
  in the CICS TS job's jcl and CSD definitions related to CICS
  IA) then:
  
  1) No message CIU4308S (because there are no CICS IA modules
  that process this message).
  2) MSGUSR:
  DFHPG0209 mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss applid termid userid Resource
  definition for CIURDCX1 has been autoinstalled using model
  DFHPGAPG.
  3) NATMSG (and terminal):
  NCI0200 NAT9974 Natural termination forced by abend IUZ8.
  
  CICS IA should not abend IUZ8 but continue.
  
  Additional Symptom(s) Search Keyword(s): KIXREVWJB
  

Local fix

• If this CICS region does not have CICS IA installed then
  CIURDCX1 (that is part of CICS IA) should NOT be linked with
  Natural nucleus.
  
  If the Natural nucleus is shared between regions (with
  installed / not installed CICS IA) then you have 2 options:
  
  1) To not linkedit CIURDCX1 to the Natural nucleus.
  2) To disable CIURDCX1 exit in the region where CICS IA is not
  installed.
  

Problem summary

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF and perform the HOLD ACTION    *
  *                 item.                                        *
  ****************************************************************
  The exit CIURDCX1 abends with code IUZ8 because EXEC CICS
  requests to CICS IA resources fail if CICS IA is not installed.
  

Problem conclusion

• Inquire request for the CICS IA message handler module was added
  to check CICS IA installation. If this request fails then the
  exit returns control to Natural without any abends or/and
  messages.
