PI17375: POOR ANALYSIS STUDIO AND REPORT STUDIO/WORKSPACE ADVANCED PERFORMANCE WITH ZERO SUPPRESSION AGAINST POWERCUBE

Error description

• When applying Zero Suppression on large (PowerCube) reports, the
  performance is significantly slower in the C10 studios than it
  is in PowerPlay.  In this case, the customer has an analysis
  with 7 levels of nesting on rows and 8 measures (several of them
  calculated) on columns.  The default Zero Suppression operation
  on this large report can take several minutes in ANS and RS,
  while a similar report in PowerPlay Studio takes less than 20
  seconds to suppress.  While a configurable fix was put into the
  code in 2012 to address a similar performance issue (Request
  COGCQ00678459), it does not cover all zero suppression options
  and is therefore of little use, as is, in this case.  The
  purpose of this request is to provide customers with a means of
  significantly improving the performance of complete zero
  suppression in the Cognos 10 Studios, so that it closer to what
  they saw in PowerPlay.
