APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
Any such failure should be reported to the user along with the SQL so they understand the limitations of the recorded data, and have the possibility to simplify the SQL.
Local fix
Simplify SQL to be recorded. Clearly this is not always possible. Turning on the diagnostic log will show the SQL too complex to record if the diagnostic log is subsequently reviewed from RTCP.

Problem conclusion
A fix for this issue was provided in version 8.7.0 of Rational Integration Tester. The user can now see a "Report" field in Recording Studio that shows which tables, rows, and stored procedures were learned or affected by each statement. This feature is accessed by selecting an SQL Event in Recording Studio. The detail panel under the event rows shows the SQL parameters and the new "Report" field. This feature enables a user to see if the driver has been able to learn anything with each statement.
