PI14592: INVALID SAMPLE FOR REPORT FUNCTION "EXTRACT" CAUSES A CRX-YXX-4010 ERROR MESSAGE

Error description

• As of Report Expression Information panel / Report Studio User
  Guide the Syntax  Report function "Extract" is following:
  extract ( date_part_expression , datetime_expression ) Returns
  an integer representing the value of "date_part_expression" in
  "datetime_expression". "Date_part_expression" could be the year,
  month, day, hour, minute, or second. Example: extract ( year ,
  2003-03-03 16:40:15.535 ) Result: 2003 Example: extract ( hour ,
  2003-03-03 16:40:15.535 ) Result: 16  However, this causes
  following error message: CRX-YXX-4010 A parsing error was found
  at or near the position 10 in the expression "extract ( year ,
  2003-03-03 16:40:15.535 ) ".  Samples for correct Syntax are:
  extract ("year",date2timestamp (today())) extract
  ("year",string2timestamp('2003-03-03 16:40:15,535'))
  

Local fix

• Samples for correct Syntax are:
  extract ("year",date2timestamp (today()))
  extract ("year",string2timestamp('2003-03-03 16:40:15,535'))
