Rational Asset Manager server installation displays the following error: No trusted certificate found

Troubleshooting

Problem

There are various error messages for missing certificates or certificates that are not valid in the log files. The following error is a common one: *** SSL SIGNER EXCHANGE PROMPT *** SSL signer from target host null is not found in trust store C:/Program Files/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/Dmgr01/etc/trust.p12. Here is the signer information (verify that the digest value matches what is displayed at the server): Add signer to the trust store now? (y/n) WASX7023E: Error creating "SOAP" connection to host "localhost"; exception information: com.ibm.websphere.management.exception.ConnectorNotAvailableException: [SOAPException: faultCode=SOAP-ENV:Client; msg=Error opening socket: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: com.ibm.jsse2.util.h: No trusted certificate found; targetException=java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Error opening socket: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: com.ibm.jsse2.util.h: No trusted certificate found]

Symptom

The reason for the failure is that the server requires this trusted certificate to be set up correctly so that the installation can deploy the applications to the server
