APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When accessing a remote WSDL file, the web services engine
generates multiple <xs:import> tags within <types> tag. This
will cause the following error when importing the remote WSDL
    files into IBM Integration Developer:
    "XSD: The element 'http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#import'
is not permitted as constrained by
    'http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#schema_._type'; expecting
    attributeGroup | group | complexType | simpleType | notation |
    attribute | element | annotation | nothing"

    ****************************************************************
When accessing a remote WSDL file, the IBM JAX-WS engine
generates multiple <xs:import> tags within <types> tag. This
will cause the following error when importing the WSDL into
IBM Integration Developer or IBM Rational Application
    Developer:
    "XSD: The element 'http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#import'

    'http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#schema_._type'; expecting
    attributeGroup | group | complexType | simpleType | notation |
    attribute | element | annotation | nothing"

Problem conclusion

  • The problem was caused because the generated schema did not
comply with the schema standard, the <xsd:import> was placed
    between <xsd:element>.

IBM JAX-WS engine was corrected to comply with the schema
standard and make sure the <xsd:import> is placed before the
    <xsd:elment> when generating a schema.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 7.0.0.33, 8.0.0.9 and 8.5.5.2 . Please refer to the
