Account add in Windows AD Adapter fails with error: 0x80072030

Problem

Active Directory account add fails for user and the adapter log shows the following error: 0x80072030, which means object not found

Symptom

An attempt to provision an account with an object (user container, eradcontainer) that does not reside in Active Directory, results with this error message in the Windows AD Adapter log:

    Thread:005076 Generated RDN: CN=JDOE,OU=S72000,OU=G28000,OU=55555,OU=YOURS
    Thread:005076 Generated UPN: JDOE@YOURSINC.COM
    Thread:005076 Error creating user account for JDOE. Error: 0x80072030
