    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DB2 Admin Tool does not resolve a       *
    *                      user-defined TEMPLATE for an IMAGE      *
    *                      COPY correctly, which results in an     *
    *                      'Invalid &SUBSTR-range' message,        *
    *                      encounters the following syntax         *
    *                      error:                                  *
    *                                                              *
    *                      THIS STATEMENT HAS AN INVALID           *
    *                      &SUBSTR RANGE OR EXIT CODE              *
    *                      EXPRESSION                              *
    *                                                              *
    *                      and ends with RC=912 / Return Code      *
    *                      912.                                    *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

    Program should fix the substring out of range problem and be
    enhanced to issue error message ADBM708E / msgadbm708e to
    report the template syntax error if it cannot be resolved
    during the ALT process.  The template syntax error occurred
    while building the APPLY job or Work Statement List ( WSL ).

    DB2 Admin detected a syntax error for the user-defined
