PI45362: SQLCODE 100 DURING SUBSCRIPTION STARTUP CAUSES SUBSCRIPTION TO FAIL.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After applying PTF UI27018 for coordination with IDAA V4 PTF 5,
  if the CHCBNDPL sample JCL is run with the OWNER and QUALIFIER
  keywords having different values, then an SQLCODE 100 is
  received from an SQL request issued during subscription
  validation.  The subscription fails to start.
  

Local fix

• Code the QUALIFIER keyword on all the BIND PLAN statements,
  using the same QUALIFIER keyword value as is coded on the BIND
  PACKAGE statements.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Some customers may BIND the plans for   *
  *                      IIDR CDC for z/OS with the BIND PACKAGE *
  *                      statements' OWNER and QUALIFER operands *
  *                      set to different values.  When a        *
  *                      subscription starts, the QUALIFIER      *
  *                      value will be extracted from the plan   *
  *                      (where it is not set, but defaulted to  *
  *                      the plan's OWNER) instead of from one   *
  *                      of the packages, using it as the owner  *
  *                      of the meta-data tables.  If the target *
  *                      is an IDAA-Netezza system, the the      *
  *                      subscription will try to look up the    *
  *                      DMMD_SIGNALS table in SYSIBM.SYSTABLES. *
  *                      Because the OWNER of the plan is not    *
  *                      the same as the owner of the meta-data  *
  *                      tables, this will result in a SQLCODE   *
  *                      100, and the subscription will fail.    *

  The wrong plan datum is used as the owner of the meta-data.
  

Problem conclusion

• Instead of the plan's QUALIFIER value, one of the packages'
  QUALIFIER values will be used as the owner of the meta-data
  tables.
