PI38890: CONNECT EXTENSIONS RESUME TPIPE REPORT ENHANCEMENT, TRANSIT ANALYSIS STATISTICS REPORT CORRECTION AND ABEND0C7 IPIMAIN

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Three issues being addressed with the APAR:
  1. Connect Extensions Resume Tpipe Report does not support all
  Resume Tpipe types and options. Additional reporting metrics are
  required to support this which requires a new Resume Tpipe
  Report Option.
  2. IMS Transit Analysis Report and Statistics Report - Dialog
  implies independence of options but if USERID is selected for
  one report then this is applied to both reports even if the
  LTERM option is selected for the other report.
  3. ABENDS0C7 IPIMAIN x'1574' with invalid timestamp running
  the BMP Checkpoint Report.
  Note: One occurrence had the S0C7 at IPIMAIN IPIGDISP x'157x'
  as the offset can vary depending upon the IMSPA maintenance
  level.

  This APAR addresses the following issues:
  1.Connect Extensions Resume Tpipe Report does not support all
  Resume Tpipe types and options. Additional reporting metrics
  are required to support this which requires a new Resume
  Tpipe Report Option.
  2.IMS Transit Analysis Report and Statistics Report - Dialog
  implies independence of options but if USERID is selected
  for one report then this is applied to both reports even if
  the LTERM option is selected for the other report.
  3.Abend S0C7 IPIMAIN+1574 with invalid timestamp.
  

Problem conclusion

• The following changes have been made for the above issues:
  1.Add new Resume-Tpipe report option "Extended format"
  (IMSPACEX TPIPE( FORMAT2) batch command).
  Required because the original report is not able to support all
  of the different Resume Tpipe types and options. The extended
  format also supports the IMS V14 parallel Resume Tpipe option.
  Reporting by time interval is not supported by the extended
  report.
  2.The Transit Analysis and Statistics reports may specify a
  Transaction Source of LTERM or USERID, if USERID was selected
  for one report this option was applied to both reports rather
  then being evaluated individually. This is now corrected and
  theTransaction Source selection is correctly applied to the
  specified report.
  3.In processing IMS X'47' records for the BMP Checkpoint report
  an invalid timestamp field could be passed to an internal
  formatting routine, depending on the contents of the field at
  the time an abend S0C7 could occur. Formatting and evaluation
  of the X'47' record fields is now corrected.
