Thread initialization problems caused Process Engine not to respond on Windows 2003

Troubleshooting


Problem

I received errors WARNING! Unexpected error '5' duplicating thread handle for process XXXXX. Tupple number: 202,1,2009 and LibMainOld(SysV): error from fnl_alloc_globals(). Tuple number: 0,0,1 and WARNING: Current process is not registered. Tuple number: 202,6,3 after I performed a FileNet software restart on Windows 2003 server. and saw thread initialization problems. Eventually one or more VW processes terminated abnormally and left the system in a hang state. This was shown as "program encountered an irrecoverable error and aborted" critical message in IS elog.

Symptom

The following messages in IS elog indicates thread initialization problems:

1. WARNING! Unexpected error '5' duplicating thread handle for process
XXXXX. Tupple number: 202,1,2009

2. LibMainOld(SysV): error from fnl_alloc_globals(). Tuple number: 0,0,1

3. WARNING: Current process is not registered. Tuple number: 202,6,3
