Question & Answer
Question
Where does IBM® Installation Manager store its downloaded temporary files?
Answer
When installing, updating or modifying, Installation Manager must download files from its assigned repositories to a temporary directory. This temporary directory has a different path on every operating systrem. The reason for this is that to locate a temporary directory on a specific platform, Installation Manager uses "java.io.tmpdir" property.
Below is the list of temp paths on Installation Manager's supported platforms.
Microsoft® Windows®
C:\DOCUME~1\<username>\LOCALS~1\Temp\
Solaris®
/var/tmp/
Linux®
/tmp
