PK56086: RMC: PNG image copied from Microsoft Word into the RMC Rich Text Editor is not displayed

Error description

• In RMC 7.2, when dragging and dropping text from a Microsoft Wor
  d document into the RMC Rich Text Editor, if the text coped from
   the Mirosoft Word document contains PNG image files, when the t
  ext is pasted into the RMC Rich Text Editor, only a place holder
   for the image is created, however the image is not displayed in
   the RTE, the preview, or the published content.
  Steps to Reproduce:
  - Create a Microsoft Word Document containing PNG image files
  - In RMC 7.2, create some type of method content, and open the R
  ich Text Editor for one of the content's fields.
  - Copy a section of the document containing the image file, and
  paste into the RMC RTE.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Users affected: Users who paste from MS Word into RMC's Rich
  Text Editor.
  Problem Description: Pasting directly from Word into RMC's
  Rich Text Editor does not work properly.
  

Problem conclusion

• Use the following procedure to paste from Word into RMC:
  1. Open the document in Word.
  2. Select File | Save as Web Page..   In the Save dialog
  that comes up, in the "Save as type" dropdown, choose "Web
  Page, Filtered (*.htm; *.html)".  Save the html file to a
  directory that does not contain any spaces (ie,
  "C:\temp\my_stuff\" is OK but "C:\temp\my stuff\" is NOT OK
  -- this is due to a limitation in RMC - RATLC00396833).
  3. Open up the newly-saved webpage in a browser and
  copy/paste from there.
  4. Optionally you can use a Word HTML cleaner such as
  http://internal.iop.kcl.ac.uk/dev/express/default.aspx
  before pasting into RMC.
