    * Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
FABY107A is issued in prefix update process, because HPPR does
not release exclusive control of CI/BLOCK explicitly.
When the update of the CI/BLOCK is unnecessary, HPPR removes the
information of the CI/BLOCK from the buffer control block
without releasing exclusive control of the CI/BLOCK. So, if the
CI/BLOCK is read again, exclusive use conflict occurs and HPPR
    issues the message FABY107A.
When concurrent prefix update is processed, the exclusive use
conflict may cause timeout in writer of pipe FABYPIPE.#03 and
    HPPR issues the message FABY2004E.

Problem conclusion

  • HPPR has been modified to release exclusive control of CI/BLOCK
explicitly when the update of the CI/BLOCK is unnecessary and
HPPR removes the information of the CI/BLOCK from the buffer
    control block.
