Error description

• In QMF for TSO and CICS V8 and V9, if the carriage control
  keyword in the PRINT command is set to no (CC=N) and the
  printer keyword is set to blanks (PRINT=' '), carriage control
  characters are not suppressed in the output file.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When the keywords PRINT='' and CC=N     *
  *                      were both included in the PRINT         *
  *                      command, indicating the printer         *
  *                      destination was not a physical          *
  *                      device and carriage control characters  *
  *                      should be suppressed, the CC=N parm     *
  *                      was not processed correctly.  The       *
  *                      print output file DID contain carriage  *
  *                      control characters, when they should    *
  *                      have been suppressed.                   *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  The code that determines whether carriage control
  characters should be present in the output file generated by
  the PRINT command was not correctly processing the CC=N parm
  when the printer destination in the PRINT= parm was set to a
  null or blank string.
  

Problem conclusion

• The DSQDPRNT module was corrected to allow the carriage control
  characters to be suppressed when the printer destination is
  set to a null or blank string.
