• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In DB2 Administration Tool, using WSL and specifying MAXE(0)
  the processing continues to next statement, even when an
  error has been encountered.

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: Users  of DB2  Admin  Tool who run DB2       *
  *                 commands during batch processing using       *
  *                 ADBTEP2.                                     *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When an error is  encountered running a *
  *                      DB2  command,   ADBTEP2  did  not  stop *
  *                      processing.  When specifying the MAXE() *
  *                      parameter, the code was not stopping as *
  *                      expected  when a  DB2 command  error is *
  *                      encountered.                            *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *

  he code was not checking for the type of error, nor was it using
  the MAXE() setting during DB2 command error handling.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem  has been fixed.  The ADBTEP2 process will stop if a
  DB2 command ends with RC>0 unless the reason code is 00E60800 or
  if message DSNT311I is encountered. Additionally, MAXE() will be
  used to further control termination in cases where ADBTEP2 would
  have stopped processing.
