  • In DB2 Administration Tool, when using MIGRATE and a
sequential MASK, 2nd job keeps waiting for MASK dataset to
be freed.
Additional Symptoms: MIG

  • Use PDS dataset for MASK

Problem summary

* USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 Admin Tool who use the Migrate  *
*                 function and choose to use masking.          *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The  migrate   mask  dataset  was       *
*                      unavailable for a migrate JCL job.      *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
****************************************************************
The MASKS file was not freed after building the migrate JCL
jobs.

Problem conclusion
