Error description

  • When creating a WPS 6.1 StandAlone profile on i5/OS with the
CEI Event database being configured on a remote machine seems
to work incorrectly. Even after supplying all information
regarding the creation for remote database including all
parameters for the toolbox jdbc driver no database collection
is created on the remote machine however one is getting
created on the local machine where WPS server is running.
    This is incorrect.

    ****************************************************************
The command configEventServiceDb2iSeriesDB didn't take into
consideration the provided hostname and always created the
    schema in the local database.

Problem conclusion

  • The Common Event Infrastructure configure database command now
uses the db2 command line tool to connect to the provided host
name and create the Common Event Infrastructure remote
    database.
The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fixpack 6.1.0.13.
