    * USERS AFFECTED: Users of IBM WebSphere Application Server *

    * deployment topology and perform *
    *                 configuration validation.                    *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Performing configuration validation *
    * generates an error message for *
    * topologies that contain a Web Server. *
    * The error message states that a *
    * required configuration definition is *
    *                      required, but missing.                  *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Configuration validation with a Web Server in the deployment
    topology generates a message similar to the following:

    CHKW2062E: The executable target of a java process definition is
    absent.

    This error message should not appear in the user's validation
    logs because the configuration data is not required for the
    run-time to function properly.

Problem conclusion

  • A code change has been made to adjust the configuration
    validation logic to not require the existence of this
    configuration data.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion
    in fix pack 6.0.2.25.
