PK50956: ADMIN 710 PARSER ISSUE WITH CCSID 870 AND CONCANTENATION OPERATOR TRANSLATES TO X'6A6A'

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In Admin DB2 Tools, command GEN & DDL fail when used with
  CCSID 870 and concatenation operator translates to HEX '6A6A'
  on view.  Oncode 8094 generated then a parser error.
  Additional Symptoms: parser msgoncode=8094 oncode=8094 view

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the  Admin DB2 tools Ver 7.1 and    *
  *                 Ver 7.2,  when performing GEN/DDL on View    *
  *                 using CONCAT operator which translates to    *
  *                 hex '6A6A' for CCSID 870.                    *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Command  GEN/DDL fails when used with   *
  *                      CCSID 870, and concatenation operator   *
  *                      translates to HEX '6A6A' on the view.   *
  *                      Oncode 8094  generated  followed with   *
  *                      parser error.                           *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *

  For CCSID 870/959 Latin 2 -  EBCDIC Multilingual ,concatenation
  operator '|' has hex value '6A' ,which currently parser doesn't
  support.  Parser is now changed to cover X'6A' in concatenation
  symbol.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem is been fixed both in V7.1 and  V7.2.
