Error description

  • When Customer creates multiple servers on WebSphere V6.0 Base
    environment profile. The "Change Log Detail Levels" panel under
    troubleshooting will not show all the components for the rest of
    the servers.

     1. Log in WAS admin console
     2. Expand "Troubleshooting" on left panel
     3. Select "Logs and Trace --> server name -->Diagnostic Trace
               --> Change Log Detail Levels"

    But admin console features for multiple servers are not
    supported for BASE environment and if needed customers should
    work through scripting.

    A static configuration file for the UI display is provided as
    part of this APAR.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When you click on a stopped server's, "Change Log Levels"
    link you do not see a list of trace components. Just one "All
    Components" in the tree.

    The server has to be in stopped state for this error.

Problem conclusion

  • The logic to handle stopped server was removed inadvertly.
    When a server is stopped we display a default list. This list
    was not getting displayed. This has now been corrected.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion
    in fixpacks 6.0.2.25 and 6.1.0.13.
