Error description

finitely after failed SSL handshake through a proxy server

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • An NIO selector in the Java playback engine was not being
closed in some situations where an error occurred and an
exception was thrown. This caused the network connection on
the client side to stay open in the CLOSE_WAIT state and not
be disposed.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Now, all the error conditions are inside a try-finally
construct that will close the selector when completed. This
solves not only this particular problem but many similar
ones for different errors.
