HTTP Status 500 - Unable to compile class for JSP & OutOfMemoryError in AE
Resolving The Problem
CE 3.5.2-001 - PE 3.5.2-001 - AE 3.5.1-001 - RM 3.5.1 - Tomcat 5.0.18
Problem was related to Tomcat on this specific installation. Customer installed Tomcat 5.0.28 and it solved the problem of memory and other problems with tools.jar
The JAVA_OPTS environment variable is not taken into account by the Tomcat service.
Instead they used the administration console (tomcat5w.exe) to set the memory pools.
