IIS hangs with 10048 error running IBM FileNet IDM Web Services

Troubleshooting


Problem

Intermittently, users lose their connection to IDM Web Services, requiring IIS to be restarted. The WAL log contains the error: COR_Open: connect to 111.222.333.444 [32769] failed with WSAGetLastError 10048

Symptom

Often appears to happen in periods of high usage and with custom applications that require many connections.
