• The following statement needs to be added to the Information
  Center for WebSphere Application Server Version 6.1:
  
  The Java Monitoring and Management Console (JConsole) is part of
  the Sun Java Development Kit (JDK) Version 5. Although this JDK
  is shipped with WebSphere Application Server V6.1 on the Sun
  Solaris operating system, the JConsole is not supported with
  WebSphere Application Server.
  
  This information needs to be added to the "Migrating to Java 2
  Standard Edition (J2SE) 5" topic.

Problem conclusion

• The "Migrating to Java 2 Standard Edition (J2SE) 5" topic in

  Version 6.1 has been updated with the following statement:
  "The Java Monitoring and Management Console (JConsole) is
  part of the Sun Java Development Kit (JDK) Version 5. Although
  this JDK is shipped with WebSphere Application Server
  Version 6.1 on the Sun Solaris operating system, WebSphere
  Application Server does not support the JConsole tool."
