Error description
A THREADSAFE OPENAPI LE enabled Assembler program looped and DFHKETIX ran and called DFHKESVC with KAFPB_FUNCTION = KAFPB_PERFORM_ABTERM. set in ABNORMALLY_TERMINATE_TASK: This blew the L8 TCB away and caused the subsequent CHANGE_MODE calls back to this L8 tcb to fail CHANGE_MODE/EXCEPTION TCB_FAILED This was experienced by DFHEIP after EICC80 when LE issued a GETMAIN on exit from the request and so DFHEIP issued the AEXZ. The AEXZ caused LE to issue ABEND 4082. LE then issued a FREEMAIN and on exit DFHEIP and tried to CHANGE_MODE to the mode in EIS_PROGRAM_MODE and failed and again a AEXZ. DFHPC0409 is issued and CICS comes down.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A threadsafe openapi LE enabled * * Assembler program looped which resulted * * in DFHPC0409 and CICS terminates. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** A THREADSAFE OPENAPI application loops, running on an L8 TCB, and the RUNAWAY detection starts and the transaction correctly suffers an AICA abend. However it then also suffers an AEXZ abend followed by an abend 4082 and then another AEXZ. CICS is now terminated with the DFHPC0409. The AEXZ and 4082 abends are the result of CICS attempting to change the task back onto the L8 TCB it was running on, but which has now been deleted as a result of the AICA abend. Keywords: abendAEXZ abendAICA msgDFHPC0409 PC0409
Problem conclusion
DFHAPLI1 has been altered in refstep kernel_error_abend_logic after the task has been set UNCLEAN to set eis_program_mode to '0000'X. This will ensure that the abending program will not attempt to switch back to the L8 TCB.
