  is issued:

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *

  1. When FPA calls "CSRCESRV" macro to compress each CI record in
     an image copy, FPA passes the CI length as an output maximum
     length to the macro. But when "CSRCESRV" macro tries to
     compress a discontinuous data, the length of compressed data
     can become larger than the original length. Therefore
     "CSRCESRV" ended with RC=04.
  2. When the FPA handles an image copy as an input data set,
     one field in the header record is checked to determine
     whether the records of the image copy are compressed or not.
     If the field is not null data, FPA tries to load the
     compression routine using that data.
     Therefore, if the field in the header record of the not
     compressed image copy does not have null data, the load
     failure for the compression routine occurs.
  

Problem conclusion

• 1. The output length of "CSRCESRV" macro parameter was revised.
  2. FPA has been modified not to check for the compression
     routine if an image copy is fixed length.
  3. A sub-text has been added to HFPV3057E. And HFPV3054E message
     has been changed.
