  • With IMS V9 APAR PK06147 PTF UK18490 installed, Performance
Analyzer gets MSGIPI0587E upon saving the IMS V9 entry on the
VRM field of panel IPISDSYG.
The error message showing is:
IPI0587E DSPAPI ERROR, FUNC=STARTDBRC, RC=12, RSN=X'C9000005',
SSID=xxxx

Before IMS V9 APAR PK06147, DSPAPI00 did not check version in
parameter list and so Version 2 parameter list was accepted.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Modify IPIDBRCA to use Version 1 parameter list for IMS V9,
and Version 2 parameter list for IMS V10, in calls to the DBRC
API (DSPAPI00).
