ZTSOT

To add special code for the customer's applications that really
should be displayed as TSO threads.

In V520, the plan FMN2PLAN, a plan of IBMs File Manager for DB2
tool, was displayed on panel ZTSOT of "TSO THREAD SUMMARY" but
in V540, it was displayed on panel ZBACKT of "BACKGROUND THREAD
SUMMARY" instead.

THE THREAD TYPE IS DEFINED FROM INFORMATION RECEIVED FROM DB2.
OMEGAMON FOR DB2 INTERPRETS A CONNECTION WITH FILE MANAGER/DB2
AS A BATCH CONNECTION BECAUSE FILE MANAGER/DB2 USES THE CALL
ATTACH FACILITY INTERFACE FOR ATTACHMENT TO DB2. FOR THIS REASON
THREADS FOR FILE MANAGER/DB2 ARE DISPLAYED AS BATCH THREADS ON
THE OMEGAMON FOR DB2 ZBACKT PANEL.

Problem conclusion

  • CHANGE THE PROGRAM TO DISPLAY FILE MANAGER/DB2 THREADS AS TSO
THREADS.
