• If the AIX or Linux archive installs are downloaded over HTTPS
  from Fix Central, many browsers will decompress them on the
  fly, leaving a file with extension .tar.gz that is no longer
  gzipped.

Problem conclusion

• IHS archives for all platforms are now provided as zips instead
  of tar archives.
  
  This fix is targeted for IBM HTTP Server fix packs:
  - 9.0.0.7
  

Temporary fix

• Change the extension of the IHS archive install from .tar.gz to
  .tar and untar it.
