PI90374: RC=8 ON THE LINKEDIT FOR KO2DDBXA DURING APPLY OF PTF UI50913, CAUSED BY USER DEFINED SMP/E PARAMETERS TO FLAG RC'S > 4

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In some environments, users may experience RC=8 on the linkedit
  for KO2DDBXA during apply of PTF UI50913. This can be caused by
  user defined SMP/E parameters to flag return codes higher than 4
  even though 8 can be an expected return code. This fix intends
  to eliminate the RC8 to avoid extra user interaction and calls
  to support to investigate the unexpected return code.
  

Local fix

• Either manually change the LKED value in the SMPe Global Options
  or
  UCLIN .

      LIST(NO).

  When the apply is run,
    SET    BOUNDARY (XE09T)  OPTIONS  (OMPEOPT).
