When an EVALUATE subject is a reference modified alphanumeric
function, the temporary that contains the result is being
effected by the subscripted temporary that is created for a
subscripted reference in the EVALUATE statement.

Problem conclusion

  • The compiler was modified to separate the mechanism of saving
the reference-modified function temporary of an EVALUATE
subject from the generalized reference-modification and
    subscripting mechanism.
