Error description

• Rational and IBM Developer for z Systems 9.5.1 systems IBM
  Developer for z Systems 14.x , using z/OS projects, when copy
  replacing a member from PDS to PDS the target member may
  disappear
  
  This can happen using host based projects and if the datasets
  are used in more projects
  
  The customer can reproduce the problem by:
  >> copy the member ABCDEF check
  >> check PDS for member existence
  >> repeat until it fails
  
  Note that it can also occur on the first try.
  
  Most of the time replacing works as expected, but sometimes it
  doesn't.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• When a PDS in the RSE view is added to a MVS subproject in the
  z/OS Projects view and a member in the PDS is replaced, the
  deletion of the member in the z/OS Projects view is occured
  asynchronously to recreate the member while the replacing event.
   Sometimes the deletion of the member in the z/OS Projects view
  is occured after the replacing event in the RSE view is
  completed, so the member is removed since the deletion of the
  z/OS Projects view resources also removes the resource in the
  RSE view.
  

Problem conclusion

• The RDz client was fixed to invoke the deletion of the member in
   the z/OS Projects view synchronously to prevent delay of the
  deletion.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for z Systems V9.5.1.6 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
