PI81474: MULTIPLE ENTRY FOR EACH DB2 IN 'ALL ACTIVE DB2 DATA SHARING GROUPS' WORKSPACE ON KDPSTART PANEL IN E3270 UI.

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In E3270 UI, workspace 'All Active DB2 Data Sharing Groups'
  starting in KDPSTART panel, multiple entry for each DB2 instead
  of just 2 for each DB2.
  

Local fix

• The workaround is to comment out the following line in
  hlq.RKANCMDU(KD5AGST) from all DB2 Agent except one. The line to
  be commented out is:
  AT ADD ID=KDPP DELAY=00:00:30 CMD='IRAMAN KDPPLEX START'
  .
  For example, if you have 10 DB2 Agents that are connected to HUB
  TEMS directly or through Remote TEMS, in 9 of the agent the line
  above must be commented leaving just one to become db2plex
  agent.

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *

  When more than one agent address space per HUB TEMS becomes the
  DB2plex level agent, multiple copies of the same node names are
  reported into the HUB TEMS and displayed on the Enhanced 3270
  UI.
  

Problem conclusion

• Allow KDPPLEX to fully function only if ONLYPLEX is coded on the
  IRAMAN start command, found in RKANCMDU member KD5AGST.  For
  example:

  There will be only one agent address space issuing the KDPPIR78I
  message as a WTO and in its RKLVLOG:
