PI78481: ERRORS GENERATING DB2 SYSTEM PRIVILEGE GRANT REQUESTS AND DISPLAYING GLOBAL VARIABLES FOR USER AUTHORIZATIONS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• There are two reported problems solved with this APAR:
  1. When selecting ZA, 'System authorizations', from panel
  ADB21 'System Catalog', and issuing the GRANT
  primary command from panel ADB2AZ 'System Privileges
  Authorizations' for EXPLAIN, SQLADM, or DBADM
  authorities,  the GRANT statement may be missing the
  name of the system privilege being granted.
  For example:
  GRANT   TO userid2
  2. When selecting UA, 'User authorizations', from panel ADB21
  'System Catalog', panel ADB2AUS is missing information for
  Global Variables.
  

Local fix

• For issue #1:  Manually edit the generated GRANT statement to
  include the missing system privilege.
