    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Before the fix, a query referencing a timestamp(0) column was
    mistakenly offloaded to an accelerator and SQLCODE -206 was
    returned.

    For example:

        CREATE TABLE TS1 (
            PK              INTEGER         NOT NULL,
            TS0    TIMESTAMP(0)
           );

        INSERT statement;

        SET CURRENT QUERY ACCELERATION = ALL;
        SELECT PK, TS0 FROM TS1 FOR FETCH ONLY;

        The above query returned SQLCODE -206.

    After the fix, DB2 will not offload the query to an accelerator
    and ill return SQLCODE -4742 with reason code 11.
    -4742 with reason code 11.

Problem conclusion

  • With this PI78171 fix, DB2 will return SQLCODE -4742
    reason code 11 for a query referencing a timestamp(0)
    column when acceleration is enabled.
