**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of HPFPU Fast Path Advanced Tool * * in Fast Path Solution Pack Version 1 * * Release 3 (FMID: HAHQ130). * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 1)FPA ANALYZE function ended with * * return code 0 even though the key * * sequence error exists in the DEDB. * * * * 2)FPA CHANGE function abended with * * S0C4. * * * * 3)FPA UNLOAD/RELOAD/CHANGE function * * could not detect key sequence error * * in particular case. * * * * 4)The HFPC0061E message didn't tell * * where the inconsistency is. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. * **************************************************************** This APAR addresses the following problems: 1)FPA ANALYZE function cannot detect the following errors: . Key sequence error in the twin chain . An IOVF CI that is not used by any UOW but is marked as allocated in the IOVF space map CI . Free chain in the IOVF space map CI is looped 2)FPA CHANGE function abended with S0C4 when both KEYSEQCHK=WARNING/BYPASS and HFPSEQER DD are specified. 3)FPA UNLOAD/RELOAD/CHANGE function could not detect key sequence error if the length of key is 1. 4)The HFPC0061E message that indicates inconsistency between IAREA and OAREA should be improved to clarify where the inconsistency is.
Problem conclusion
1)FPA ANALYZE function has been modified to detect the key sequence error, inconsistency between the IOVF space map CI and the IOVF data CI, and loop free chain in the IOVF space map CI. 2)FPA CHANGE function has been modified to update error segment key table only when the table exists. 3)FPA UNLOAD/RELOAD/CHANGE function has been modified to detect key sequence error even if the length of key is 1. 4)The HFPC0061 message has been modified to indicate where the inconsistency between IAREA and OAREA is. ======================== = DOCUMENTATION CHANGE = ======================== The IMS Fast Path Solution Pack for z/OS Version 1 Release 3 IMS High Performance Fast Path Utilities User's Guide (SC19-4010-03). http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27049470
