PI68085: DOCUMENTATION DEFECT: ADDITIONAL ORACLE DRIVERS REQUIRED FOR INSTALL (XDB6.JAR) OR USE OLDER GROOVY (1.8.8)

APAR status

• Closed as Vendor Solution.

Error description

• Installation fails with
  "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:oracle/xdb/XMLType" when using
  Oracle database.  resolved the error by removing the
  groovy-all-2.4.4 .jar in packaged in the installer.
  Substituting that Groovy library for an older version
  (groovy-all-2.4.4.
  jar for groovy-all- 1.8.8.jar) DID resolve the problem in this
  case.

• This issue has been fixed in Groovy 2.4.6+. Latest UCB 6.1.2.x
  cumulative patches, along with UCB 6.1.3.0+ releases are bundled
  with Groovy 2.4.6+ versions which do not have this issue.
