Problem
Beginning with the Adapter Framework Fix Pack 3, support for SuSE Enterprise Server 9.0 has been added for WebSphere(R) Business Integration Adapter Framework version 2.6.0. To install the Adapter Framework 2.6.0 and Adapters V2.6 on a workstation running SuSE Enterprise Server 9.0, you must follow the steps described in the solution below. If you launch the installer by using: ./setupLinux.bin -W unsupportedPlatform.active=false the Adapter Framework installer or adapter installer can finish processing without error messages. But some of the required files are not installed.
Resolving The Problem
Please follow the steps to install Adapter Framework 2.6.0 and adapters V2.6 on SuSE Enterprise Server 9.0.
1. Log in as "root"!
(Please do NOT use "su root" in other users' consoles, or Graphic mode may not work)
2. Copy the installer file (setup.jar setupLinux.bin) to a directory.
(for example: /home/aaa/temp)
3. Download the utility file (InstSUSE9.sh) to the same directory.
4. Launch the utility from the same directory.
(for example:
cd /home/aaa/temp
./InstSUSE9.sh
)
Note: Do not simply launch the installer using the following platform check bypass command. Using this command, you can complete the install without error but not all required files will be installed.
./setupLinux.bin -W unsupportedPlatform.active=false
