Restoring an element from backup using standard file copy

Troubleshooting

Problem

This technote describes an alternate method for restoring an IBM® Rational® ClearCase® element from backup when a container has become corrupted using the standard file copy command. This procedure will only work so long as the element was not removed using rmelem nor any versions (rmver) or branches (rmbranch) were removed.
