Error description
CJSA transaction (running program DFHSJTHP) causes SOS in UDSA. The resource defintions show that program DFHSJTHP is defined with DAtalocation: Below. The DATALOCATION for DFHSJTHP was not explicitly specified because this is a program definition for a Java program. The storage actually used by the Java code will be 31 or 64 bit. The JCICS GET CONTAINER call issues an EXEC CICS GET CONTAINER SET call. This will return the SET area using the program's DATALOCATION and so that gives 24 bit storage. There is no way to request that the SET storage get released so it builds up until CICS goes SOS below the line.
Local fix
Change the DAtalocation in program DFHSJTHP to ANY
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: * * All CICS users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * * CJSA transaction (running program * * DFHSJTHP) causes CICS SOS below the * * line. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * * . * **************************************************************** Program DFHSJTHP is defined with DATALOCATION(BELOW). The Liberty application calls JCICS GET CONTAINER to get the container data. The JCICS GET CONTAINER call issues an EXEC CICS GET CONTAINER SET call which will return the SET area using program DFHSJTHP DATALOCATION. So 24 bit storage is allocated. When lots of containers are being accessed from application, lots of 24-bit storage will be allocated causing CICS SOS below the line.
Problem conclusion
The definition of PROGRAM(DFHSJTHP) has been updated to specify DATALOCATION(ANY).
