You see errors 9810 and 12053 while using dbimport

Troubleshooting


Problem

You see error 9810 "Smart-large-object error." and error 12053 "Smart Large Objects: No sbspace number specified." when dbimporting a database.

Symptom

You run the IBM® Informix Dynamic Server (IDS) database server utility dbimport, you get these error messages:


*** put loadcur
9810 - Smart-large-object error.

12053 - Smart Large Objects: No sbspace number specified.

Cause

The ONCONFIG configuration file parameter SBSPACENAME is not set or is set incorrectly.

Resolving The Problem

Set SBSPACENAME to the name of a logged sbspace that exists and restart the database server. Run the dbimport again.
