Troubleshooting
Problem
Your CICS Transaction Server for z/OS (CICS TS) application receives spool errors with an EIBRESP of 80 indicating NOSPOOL and an EIBRESP2 of 4 indicating no subsystem present. The same codes occur for EXEC CICS SPOOLREAD, SPOOLWRITE, and SPOOLOPEN INPUT or OUTPUT.
Cause
Either the system initialization table (SIT) or the SYSIN overrides are specifying SPOOL=NO.
Resolving The Problem
Specify SPOOL=YES in the SIT or in your SYSIN Override dataset.
