Error description

  • Received MSGGJE6550E Input Blocked: Invalid Request trying
    to use a service from the server. Also received MSGGJE6553E.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IMS Sysplex Manager             *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 'Input blocked- Invalid request'        *
    *                      is received trying to use SM server     *
    *                      in some cases - usually after changing  *
    *                      servers, or stop/start server without   *
    *                      restarting the client.                  *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    -Client checks for server presence after it sends request
    for services- this way the first message after the server
    is stopped or abends can not find the required server.
    -In some cases the first message reaches the server before
    the message for the client joining the group- in this cases
    the client is not registerred and the message is rejected.
    -On change server request - the client is improved to
    leave and join the group.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The client's program have been changed to perform next:
    
    1.Check for "server leave the group" message before sending
    new request to server.
    2.Wait between Join the group and Send first request- to make
    sure that the registration with the server is done.
    4. On server change client leaves and joins the group-
    to make sure that deregistration/registration is proccessed
    correct by servers.
